We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Manager to join our Supply Chain team. In this role, you will drive the process engineering initiatives of Amazon Logistics delivery stations across North America and Europe. You will collaborate closely with our engineering team for new product development, identify and select strategic suppliers, lead complex negotiations, and ensure seamless project execution from technology proof of concept to scale‑up strategy and execution.
In addition, you will be responsible for developing and scaling the global Contract Manufacturing workstream across all Engineering initiatives.
- Supplier Selection and
Qualification:
identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on capabilities, cost‑effectiveness, and reliability; lead negotiations to secure favorable terms; conduct rigorous supplier qualification processes to assess ability to meet quality, delivery, and performance standards. - Project Execution: develop and implement comprehensive project plans; monitor progress, identify risks, and mitigate them; collaborate with cross‑functional teams to stay on track.
- Supply Chain Optimization: continuously analyze supply chain processes to identify opportunities for improvement and cost reduction; develop and implement strategies to scale up technologies across regions with qualified suppliers; maintain strong relationships with suppliers to foster collaboration.
- Risk Management:
identify and assess potential supply chain risks such as supplier disruptions, quality issues, or geopolitical factors; develop and implement contingency plans to minimize impact.
The Supply Chain team owns the supply chain set‑up and readiness for all new programs and products across multiple engineering categories (equipment, fixtures, consumables, etc.). We partner with stakeholders in Worldwide Engineering, WHS, Design, Operations, and Procurement, program‑managing vendors during design, deployment, and change management stages to deliver program milestones, cost, quality, and sustainability.
Basic Qualifications- 10+ years of managing procurement teams with direct experience in supplier/supply chain management.
- Experience in strategic sourcing for high‑tech electronics/computing/communications fields.
- Experience in supply chain contracting, demand management, planning, procurement, or operations.
- Experience managing procurement teams with direct source/supply chain experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management.
Base salary range: USD – annually (USA, WA, Bellevue). Compensation includes sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs) and is based on experience, qualifications, and location.
