UAS Operator Multi Levels

Insitu is anticipating the need for UAS Operators at a Level 1 / Level 2 / Level 3 / Level 4 in the 3rd Quarter 2026, this opening is dependent on contract award.

• Operate and maintain unmanned aircraft systems in compliance with checklists and safety protocols.
• Conduct preflight planning to include mission briefings, weather forecasts, Notice to Airmen (NOTAMs), Special Instructions (SPINs) and airspace requirements.
• Evaluate customer's mission requirements and determine operational needs.
• Collect and analyze data obtained from flights; complete post‑mission reports/logs.
• Collaborate with team members and customers to plan and execute UAS missions.
• Perform UAS and ground support equipment testing, troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Coordinate with company subject matter experts to resolve issues beyond the scope of field maintenance capability, as needed.
• Conduct inventory of UAS spares/components and report cycle counts.

• UAS Operator Level 1 requirements: Associate’s Degree in the Aviation Field;
  Military Aviation Experience; and an active Secret clearance.
• UAS Operator Level 2 requirements: Associate’s Degree in the Aviation Field;
  Military Aviation Experience; or 1+ years of UAS Operator experience; and an active Secret clearance.
• UAS Operator Level 3 requirements: Associate’s Degree in the Aviation Field;
  Military Aviation Experience; or 3+ years of UAS Operator experience; and an active Secret clearance.
• UAS Operator Level 4 requirements: Associate’s Degree in the Aviation Field;
  Military Aviation Experience; or 6+ years of UAS Operator experience; and an active Secret clearance.

• A working expertise with Insitu tracking programs and library documentation.
• FAA certifications (Pilot or A&P); deployed time or production experience (preferred but not required).

Must be willing to deploy to remote locations and at times austere environments for 4‑to‑6‑month assignments; willingness to travel up to 70% of the year.
