Position: ELECTRICAL ENGINEER with Security Clearance
Location: Bangor

Duties
* You will provide independent, timely and professional specialized electrical engineering products, services and consultation for the planning, design, construction and maintenance of facilities.
* You will be recognized as the Subject Matter Expert, consultant, engineering coordinator, and technical specialist in the following areas:
Power Distribution and Telecommunications.
* You will be responsible for the preparation of final detailed working drawings, comparative cost analysis, Request for Proposals (RFPs), and project specifications for a wide variety of facility types.
* You will develop complex designs and analyses utilizing advanced electrical engineering software such as Whole Building Design Guide (WBGD) and AutoCAD.
* You will perform reviews and checking of projects prepared by in-house engineers and architects. Requirements Conditions of employment

* Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

* You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
* This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the

Functional Area

and Tier assigned to the position, along with Continuous Learning (CL) points, are required within established time frames.
* This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
* Registration as Professional Engineer (PE) is required.
* You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases. Qualifications This position has a selective placement factor that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates. The selective placement factor is:
You must currently be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) if applying for the 0850 series. Your license or registration must be held in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.

A copy of your current license/ registration showing the expiration date MUST be submitted with your application in order to be considered for this position. A copy of a wall certificate that does not have an expiration date will not serve to verify this requirement.
* Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Developing and reviewing complex electrical engineering designs, specifications, and cost estimates for facility infrastructure, building electrical systems, and power distribution systems independently;
2) Overseeing multi-disciplinary project teams, coordinating with stakeholders, and managing Architect-Engineer (A-E) contracts or in-house design projects from scoping to completion;
