Electrical Engineer

Teck Global's tendering team is growing, and we're after an Electrical Engineer who thrives on precision. You'll take client requirements and technical schematics and turn them into scopes of work and tender documentation that are clear, accurate, and ready to win the job — no travel required, no FIFO roster, just a solid 40-hour week based out of our Malaga office.

• Reading and interpreting scopes, specifications and electrical drawings to build accurate, defensible tender submissions
• Building supply chain relationships, understanding what our suppliers need to do their job as efficiently as possible and providing that to them
• Building templates, scopes and systems to minimise repeat work both internally and externally. Growing your electrical knowledge by participating in project handover. Developing your project management experience by creating tender schedules, understanding risk and opportunity
• Working to tender deadlines — you're the kind of engineer who works backwards from the due date and hits it
• Digging into unfamiliar technical problems independently and getting yourself up to speed without needing your hand held
• Bringing structure and rigor to every document and process you touch

• 3+ years' experience as an electrical engineer in Australia
• A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
• Excellent verbal and written communication — you can write a scope of work that a fabricator, a client, and a project manager can all read the same way
• A genuinely meticulous, highly organised approach to your work — you're the kind of person who has a spreadsheet for packing their suitcase when you travel, and packing cells to keep it all tidy
• Self-motivated and comfortable with independent study to fill knowledge gaps

• Design and commissioning experience with HV/MV switch gear
• Interest or experience in automation, programming, or agentic AI — if you've been experimenting with AI tools to make your own work faster, we want to hear about it
