About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated self‑starter who embodies both a passion for dance culture and a love of the event operations space. This position is an Entertainment Wardrobe Specialist reporting to the Entertainment Director.
Job SummaryInsomniac produces large‑scale music festivals and events worldwide. The Entertainment Wardrobe Specialist is responsible for ensuring performers look their best through swift, detailed wardrobe preparation, styling, and upkeep throughout rehearsals and shows.
The RoleThis position requires a proactive individual able to manage wardrobe logistics and collaborate closely with performers.
Responsibilities- Prepare and organize the wardrobe area for efficiency and speed.
- Assign, document, and recollect wardrobe items for entertainers at check‑in and check‑out.
- Work closely with performers on the distribution and styling of costume elements, props, footwear, and accessories during rehearsals and show run.
- Fit performers to costume sizing suited to body shape and size.
- Provide feedback on personal appearance and recommend grooming changes if required.
- Ensure the quality and final product of each look before deployment using the 8‑point checklist.
- Assist team members with quick changes in set‑up and run‑of‑show.
- Repair, clean, and prepare wardrobe for the run of the show.
- Make alterations, adjustments, or mend wardrobe items as approved.
- Maintain ongoing maintenance of costumes, footwear, props, and accessories.
- Maintain a safe working environment, conforming to all established safety policies.
- Maintain documentation for maintenance and participate in rotation of duties as directed.
- Properly clean, repack, and store all wardrobe and related items after each show.
- Fast pace – able to move quickly and efficiently in high volume to meet launch times.
- Attention to detail – careful about the quality of the final product.

- Diploma in fashion, textiles, costuming, production arts, or a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in wardrobe, costuming, or styling.
- Practical skills in hand and machine sewing.
- Ability to style and recreate a look from a photo or description accurately.
- Hands‑on knowledge of how to repair costuming, accessories, and footwear.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of live entertainment and Insomniac brands/shows.
- Experience in entertainment, theater, theme park, or live events is a plus.
- Some travel may be requested.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Must tolerate loud noise levels and busy environments.
- May work in extreme temperature climates.
- Requires frequent travel to events, including holidays, evenings, and weekends, as needed.
