Summary:
The Colville School District is accepting applications for dedicated Auditorium Manager. This individual will be responsible for preparing and managing the facility for a wide range of school and community events. The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive, and experienced in event or facility management. This position may involve both school-sponsored and privately hosted events held on district property.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Key
Duties Include:
* Setting up and breaking down equipment before and after events.
* Coordinating and supervising support personnel to ensure smooth event operations.
* Remaining on-site throughout events to provide assistance and address any issues that arise.
* Facility Scheduling:
Manage the CHS Auditorium calendar in coordination with the CHS office staff's building calendar.
* Scheduled events include:
* Colville School District performing arts productions
* CHS/CSD meetings, presentations, and testing
* Community performing arts and public events
* Maintenance and cleaning schedules
* Technical Event Support:
* Provide technical setup and support for all auditorium events and rehearsal, including staging, sound, and lighting.
* Coordinate and supervise technicians for sound and lighting operations.
* Organize backstage support and ensure proper stage strike after events.
* Student Tech Team Management:
* Recruit, train, and manage a student production tech team.
* Oversee student support for auditorium events, school dances, and the CHS graduation ceremony.
* Facility Use Coordination:
* Prepare quotes and invoices for community use of the auditorium in accordance with CSD Facility Use policies.
* Manage the facility use budget, including purchases for maintenance and consumables (e.g., batteries, bulbs, gels, gaff tape, cables).
* Equipment and Facility Maintenance:
* Perform and schedule regular maintenance of all production equipment and auditorium facilities.
* Tasks include piano tuning and cleaning, dressing room upkeep, stage painting, lighting grid and sound system maintenance, and care of fixtures such as risers, steps, seat lights, and curtain rigging.
* Safety Oversight:
* Ensure compliance with safety standards, including proper use of scaffolding, secure lighting rigging, clear fire exits, cable management, ADA accessibility, and adherence to capacity limits.
* Special Event Support:
* Provide sound system support for CHS school dances and the CHS graduation ceremony.
