Cage​/Club Representative

Overview

Responsible for assisting customers with transactions and balancing bank drawers within the Cage function. Maintain accuracy throughout all phases of the balancing process. Promote the day‑to‑day membership of our Players Club (Sun Club) and collaborate with the Marketing Department to meet all casino promotion event goals, including printing Sun Club cards, answering questions, directing guests to the Marketing area, and performing additional duties as required.

• Practices, supports, and maintains the Mission, Vision and Values of the Casino.
• Provide exceptional customer service at all times.
• Accurately count and balance the cashier bank, maintain cashier drawer transaction records, and prepare the daily cash inventory form.
• Redeem video gaming tickets, gaming chips, and coupons.
• Maintain the imprest bank balance through buy/sell transactions from the vault.
• Cash personal checks for currency.
• Redeem foreign currency, computing accurate exchange rates for the various currencies received.
• Maintain a working knowledge of facilities and special events on the property to advise customers, when possible.
• Assist in maintaining cage floor security by notifying supervisors, security, and surveillance of suspicious activity.
• Assist other cashiers within the Cage as needed.
• Facilitate the flow of information by working with the Marketing Department and attending required informational meetings.
• Hold accountable for a very high degree of accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records, reports, and confidentiality.
• Work shift work, holidays, weekends, and special events.
• Proactively identify problems and solutions and follow up with Marketing or the Cage Supervisor.
• Maintain a working knowledge of our database system to perform duties with the promotional tracking system.
• Promote casino promotions with all customers and prompt new customers to sign onto our Players Club.
• Assist each customer through the membership process by inputting customer data into the promotional tracking system.
• Keep accurate and thorough departmental records and reports.
• Maintain knowledge of all casino programs, promotions, and all elements of casino games.
• Maintain a positive and productive attitude at all times with customers and fellow team members.
• Promote all marketing events, in‑house promotions, and other announcements over the microphone system as needed.
• Assist the Cage Supervisor and Marketing Manager with special projects as needed.
• Maintain a clean and clear workstation.
• Stock promotional items such as bungee cords, club cards, and other items for promotional use; inform the Manager when items run low.
• Perform other tasks assigned.

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• Cash handling experience required.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Must be computer literate.
• Ability to work independently and use good judgment.
• Excellent mathematical aptitude.
• Ability to handle heavy business volume and sensitive situations relating to staff and guest problems promptly.
• Able to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Tolerate variations in noise, smoke, and temperature levels.
• Ability to secure and maintain a STATE OR TRIBAL Gaming License.
