Volunteer Opportunities At Summit Pacific Medical Center
Your trusted partner in Health and Wellness, Summit Pacific is a vibrant and expanding public hospital district that operates a Critical Access Hospital with a Level IV trauma designation, three rural healthcare clinics, and a seven-day-a-week urgent care clinic. Our vision is "Through Summit Care, we will build the healthiest community in the Nation." Our hospital is unique due to its size and accessibility.
We pride ourselves on our ability to give patients quick access to a provider.
Volunteer opportunities may be available in a variety of departments and service areas based on organizational need, volunteer interests, and individual skills. Assignments may include providing support to patients and visitors, assisting staff with non-clinical duties, helping with way finding and hospitality services, supporting community and employee events, or assisting with administrative tasks.
Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age unless special approval is granted. Some volunteer positions may require additional onboarding, training, screenings, or certifications depending on the role and department placement.
Summit Pacific Medical Center is committed to creating a welcoming, respectful, and patient-centered environment. Volunteers are expected to demonstrate professionalism, confidentiality, compassion, and strong communication skills while representing the organization.
Additional information regarding volunteer requirements, available opportunities, scheduling expectations, and placement options will be discussed during the volunteer application and onboarding process. We strive to match volunteers with opportunities that align with their interests, experience, and availability while supporting the needs of our patients and community.
