Payroll​/Benefits Manager

North Franklin School District is seeking a Payroll/Benefits Manager to oversee payroll and employee benefits operations. Responsibilities include payroll processing, benefits administration, retirement reporting, and maintaining employee records in Skyward Qmlativ. The position works closely with district staff, administrators, and outside agencies to support efficient business office operations and provide excellent customer service.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of payroll, benefits, accounting, or financial management experience, preferably in a Washington State public school or educational setting preferred.
• Proficiency with Skyward Qmlativ software and Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of Washington State retirement systems, OSPI reporting, school finance regulations, collective bargaining agreements, and public sector payroll requirements preferred.
• Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive financial and employee information.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively.
