Overview
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing the day‑to‑day general ledger and accounting processes of all Community Associations. This includes oversight of the accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, cash reconciliations, fixed assets, and other general ledger management. Additionally, the accounting manager will be responsible for producing monthly financial statements for the Associations prepared in accordance with GAAP and presenting these financials to the Boards.
The role will be highly engaged with internal team members and customers; strong communication and problem‑solving are critical. Community Associations is a fast‑paced, customer‑service focused business, so organization skills and time‑management capabilities will be important attributes. The position is hybrid, requiring presence in the office approximately two days a week as needed to ensure success in the role.
Annual Salary Range: $80,200.00 - $84,000.00

- Ensure timely and accurate billings, cash receipt application, and vendor payments.
- Collaborate with AP and AR specialists, providing oversight and review so that these areas have very few errors and timely entry.
- Monitor issues that arise and manage more complex issues.
- Approve AP invoices weekly in accordance with HOA budgeted expenses.
- Manage correspondence between legal counsel and board members regarding owners in collections and appropriate next steps.
- Provide oversight to staff accountant to ensure monthly journal entries—including depreciation, amortization, and other required entries—are recorded accurately and timely with appropriate backup.
- Review quarterly financial statements to ensure GAAP compliance, including:
- Review of major balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Review of cash reconciliations performed by others.
- Perform reconciliations for more complex accounts as determined by Senior Manager, which may vary over time.
- Manage audit requests to ensure a timely and adjustment‑free issuance.
- Present quarterly financials and annual budget at Board meetings.
- Manage the Finance Committees for all Associations.
