Pest Control Technician
What do our Pest Control Technicians do?
The primary purpose of this role is to perform industry leading pest management services for residential customers. You will identify and eliminate pests by conducting inspections, determining infestation type, applying treatments like pesticides and traps, providing preventative measures, and communicating solutions while adhering to safety regulations.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough inspections of client properties to identify signs of pest infestations, damage, and entry points.
- Apply approved pest control products, including chemicals, baits, and traps, while adhering to safety standards.
- Educate customers on pest prevention methods and maintain a pest-free environment.
- Build relationships with customers, schedule appointments, and support sales to expand product reach.
- Maintain all pest control equipment properly and in good condition.
- Adhere to all regulations regarding pest control products and safety protocols.
- Drive and safely operate a company provided service vehicle.
- Work in tight, confined spaces such as basements, attics, crawl spaces, narrow aisles, or passageways.
- Work around animals, insects, and termites.
- Handle mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, heights, scaffolding, fumes, dust, and chemicals safely.
- Work both inside and outside in your local climate using company-provided weather gear.
- Engage in moving, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling on stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) like an OSHA-compliant respirator.
- Clean shaven face for safety reasons.
- High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination.
- Valid driver’s license from state of residence.
- Relevant licenses/certificates as required by regulations (covered by us). Available to work Monday-Friday and weekends as needed.
- Open to learning and becoming knowledgeable in all areas of pest control.
- Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
- Basic math skills for following product label instructions.
- Customer-facing experience preferred.
Applicants that have a previous experience in lawncare or pest control encouraged to apply.
