HUMAN Resources Specialist; Military Security Clearance

Position: HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (MILITARY) with Security Clearance
Location: McChord Air Force Base

Duties Individuals selected for ART positions must meet both civilian qualifications and uniformed military requirements. In addition to meeting civilian qualifications, applicants must obtain military membership in the Air Force Reserve, wear the uniform, maintain job-specific military specialty requirements, and meet other military qualifications such as age, height, weight, and physical fitness standards. The primary purpose of this position is:
Serve as Chief, Force management in administering all aspects of the section. This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) Enlisted position. Additionally, trains Reservists in the accomplishment of tasks set forth herein. DUTIES: DUTY 1:
Plans, directs, and controls all aspects of the Force Management programs for both Active Guard Reserve (AGR) and unit reservists. DUTY 2:
Serves as advisor to commanders on unit Human Resources (Military) programs. DUTY 3:
Provides Human Resources management (Military) advisory services to commanders and staff on all Force Management programs. DUTY 4:
Administers actions in Automated Reserve Orders Writing System-Reserves (AROWS-R). DUTY 5:
Ensures accuracy of Personnel Data System (PDS) and performs functional review of data reliability. May be required to perform Installation Personnel Readiness duties and/or assist as directed. Requirements Conditions of employment

EXPERIENCE:

Applicants must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience at the lower grade, GS-07 level or equivalent. Examples of specialized experience includes:
In-depth knowledge of military personnel policies, procedures, rules, guidelines, instructions, etc., to understand respective programs and converse with functional managers. knowledge of the automated systems, personal computers, and software employed, in order to make reports, correspondence, and extract data. OR

EDUCATION:

Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirement is at least 100%.

Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-07 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-09 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
