Location: Joint Base Lewis McChord
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position:Incumbent will serve as a Police Office (Traffic Investigator) located at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, Ameri Corps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience;

Experience:
- One year of specialized experience which includes
1) Taking charge of accident scenes to conduct investigations by providing instructions to parties involved; - 2) Exercising search and arrest authority such as: detaining witnesses, apprehending suspects, interviewing bystanders to gather critical information;
- 3) Enforcing traffic regulations and/or laws to ensure public safety.
