Duties
* You will monitor natural resources programs for compliance with federal, state, and local policies for the conservation and management of cultural resources.
* You will advise personnel on federal historic preservation procedures to maintain regulatory compliance.
* You will develop cultural resource and preservation plans in accordance with established cultural resource laws, regulations, and statutes.
* You will facilitate an organization's compliance with environmental laws, regulations, policies, instructions, or directives.
* You will prepare correspondence (e.g., e-mails, official letters, issue papers) related to environmental planning projects. Requirements Conditions of employment

* This is a bargaining unit position.
* You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
* You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
* This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
* You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift. Qualifications In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Managing budgets, funds, support, and projects that will provide the ability to budget for out-year Cultural Resources requirements;
2) Applying innovative and experimental theories, new applications, and state of the art methods to solve a wide variety of issues; and
3) Serving as the technical expert for cultural resource matters;
4) Reviewing contractor performance and manage the execution of environmental planning initiatives, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and project timelines; and
5) Preparing briefing materials for senior leaders to brief high level Commands and outside agencies. Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management website:

Successful completion of a bachelor's degree or higher in history; or related field that included at least 18 semester hours in history. OR You have a combination of education and experience: courses equivalent to a major in history, or a major in a related field that included at least 18 semester hours in history, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
