- ** Shifts**:
- Mid 3x8-Hour (15:00 - 23:30) - Mid 4x8-Hour (15:00 - 23:30)
- ** Schedule**:
- 8 hour shifts, 56 hours every 2 weeks - Rotation between units - Weekend coverage:
Every other weekend
- ** Patient Ratio**:
- Days: 1:6 - Nights: 1:6 - Weekends: 1:6
** Qualifications**:
- Minimum of 1 year ER EDT experience (required) - BLS certification (preferred) - Community hospital experience (preferred) - Trauma Level II experience (required)
** Skills & Responsibilities**:
- Manage behavioral emergencies - Perform phlebotomy - Obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG - Assist with ambulation and feeding patients - Application of restraints - Provide post-mortem care - Label specimens and transport - Report changes in patient condition
** Professional Skills & Knowledge**:
- Understanding of abnormal/normal vital sign parameters (Adult and Pediatric) - Age-specific competency across various groups including neonates, infants, children, adolescents, young adults, middle adults, and older adults
** Patient Care Environment**:
- Emergency Department offering care for a variety of diagnoses - Robust ER facility supported by knowledgeable nurses and physicians - Daily census varies from 10-26 patients - Interdisciplinary support from respiratory, phlebotomy, radiology, and pharmacy
** Equipment Used**:
- Glucometer - Lifts, splints, dressings - Glide scopes, Slit Lamp, PANDA - Suture carts, cast cart
** Special Procedures**:
- Intubations, reductions, splinting, sutures, and lavages
** Parking**:
- No fee for parking
