Job Summary:Responsible and accountable for providing drug therapy review/monitoring, preparation, dispensing, counseling and drug control for a outpatient/retail pharmacy in accordance with departmental and district policies and procedures as well as all applicable laws and regulations.
Essential Job Functions:- Ensure the accuracy and appropriateness of all prescriptions filled by completing Drug Utilization Review and Final Quality Assurance, applicable to state and federal Board of Pharmacy regulations.
- Supervise all Pharmacy Technician and Assistant duties.
- Build profitable business and script growth through recommended clinical programs including appropriate immunization and when available MTM (Medication Therapy Management) and all other programs as identified.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with medical-related issues and providing healthcare counseling.
- Handle and resolve customer issues, complaints and questions to build customer trust and loyalty.
- Interact with physicians and utilize reference material to gather pertinent information about prescriptions that require a resolution of issues that arise.
- Prioritize Pharmacy Department tasks and follow through to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner. Including, but not limited to inventory management and will-calls to customers.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's Degree or Pharmacy Degree in Pharmacy or of higher qualifications.
Must meet state requirements for Pharmacist.
Required Licensure /
Certifications:
Active Washington State Pharmacist License
Required Experience:
Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Adequate computer competency.
Knowledge pharmacy regulations as applicable to the job.

Successful candidates typically begin between the beginning and midpoint of the compensation range dependent on qualifications/experience and receive compensation in increments increases annually.
