Greet patients and visitors in a timely and friendly manner. Obtain patient demographics and verify insurance. Effectively process registration transactions. Collect co-payments including cash, checks and credit cards. Assist patients with forms and documents. Schedule patient appointments. Relay referral information to patients and forward appropriate documentation to referred physician. Coordinate with lab or x-ray on physician orders.

• Answer phone, schedule appointments for consults, pre‑op, and surgeries.
• Check patients into the clinic and ensure proper charges for their visit.
• Pull charts for the clinic.
• Complete paperwork for radiology, laboratory exams and set up appointments if necessary.
• Ensure that all doctor's paperwork has been completed, dictated and signed.
• Make referrals for patients to specialists and ensure that they get the proper information.
• Set patients up in exam rooms (e.g., set up supplies needed for their visit) and if needed help them onto gurney.
• Ensure all instruments have been washed.
• Keep exam rooms supplied, stocked, clean and disinfected.
• Ensure all clinic supplies have been ordered and stocked.
• Prescription authorization and calling prescriptions into pharmacies.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer an applicant with working knowledge of the EPIC system.
• Keyboarding, switchboard, and computer skills.
• Understanding of medical terminology.
• Referrals and insurance prior authorizations.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision.
