The CMA Specialty call center specialist is responsible for providing assistance to providers, clinical staff, call center staff, nurse triage and patients in delivering medical care. Maintains schedules and appointments for specialty clinic providers. Is responsible for checking insurance and making sure all referrals and authorizations are present prior to scheduling. Additionally, the referral coordinator's responsibilities include appointment coordination, patient communication and registering patients.
Will work together with other departments and/or organizations to assure all necessary patient information is provided and or obtained, and in electronic format whenever possible.
- High School Diploma / GED
- Graduate of medical assistant program.
- General knowledge of office procedures and computer systems.
- 1-2 years clinical experience.
- Bilingual in Spanish.
- Requires current Washington State DOH Medical Assistant-Certified credential.
- Must maintain BLS certification.
