The Washington State Department of Corrections (DOC) is seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual for a Health Record Technician 1 for the Clallam Bay Corrections Center (CCC) located in Clallam Bay, WA. This is a full-time, permanent position with a Monday-Friday day shift schedule. Do you have a certification by the American Health Information Management Association as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or the ability to obtain certification within six (6) months of appointment, and maintain certification during period of employment?

Under the supervision of the Health Services Manager 2, this professional position helps to ensure patient health records are managed in a way that supports the Health Services mission of delivering high-quality, efficient and effective healthcare services, and employee engagement to improve lives in a safe and secure environment during the patient's incarceration and after release, which increases the patient's chances of succeeding upon reentry, directly contributing to the Department's mission to improve public safety by positively changing lives.

Clallam Bay Corrections Center has an operating capacity of 858 male individuals located on the point of the Olympic Peninsula. Located in Clallam Bay, WA. It is 50 miles west of Port Angeles and looks out over the Strait of Juan de Fuca at Vancouver Island.
