Speech‑Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)

Position Type:
Full-Time | School Year

Compensation: $40.00–$55.00/hr (DOE)

Sign‑On Bonus + Relocation Assistance Available

We’re seeking dedicated and qualified Speech‑Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) for full‑time, school‑based assignments. Under the supervision of a licensed Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP), you’ll help deliver therapy services, support students with communication challenges, and play an essential role in their academic and social development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students under SLP supervision
  • Assist with the implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and therapy goals
  • Prepare therapy materials and activities aligned with treatment plans
  • Document student progress, maintain service logs, and assist with reporting
  • Collaborate with SLPs, teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student success
  • Support the use of evidence‑based strategies and therapeutic technologies, including AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication)
  • Help maintain equipment and organize therapy spaces
  • Participate in professional development and training activities as required
Qualifications

Required:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders or AA/AS Leveling Program
  • Active SLPA license or certification (or eligibility) in the state of practice
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in a school setting
  • Familiarity with IEPs and educational documentation
  • Cultural competency in working with diverse student populations
  • Bilingual (a plus, but not required)
