Dietitian
Job Summary:
The dietitian is responsible for assessing patient nutritional status and needs, developing and implementing nutritional care plans, and evaluating and reporting these results appropriately. In conjunction with the dietary manager, coordinates and supervises food service procurement, production, and distribution. Provides patient, professional, and nutrition staff education. Assures that the facility meets state and accreditation rules and regulations.
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics
- Current registration with the American Dietetic Association based on adequacy of continued education credits
- Experience in clinical dietetics, diet therapy, and education
Required Licensure /
Certifications:
- Current Washington State Certified Nutritionist License
- Current Washington State/Okanogan County food handler's card
Required Experience:
- A minimum of one year of dietitian experience in a hospital or clinical setting
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with the Cerner electronic health record system
- Bilingual in English/Spanish
Adheres to dress code, appearance is neat and clean.
Completes annual organization-required and/or job-required educational requirements.
Maintains regulatory requirements
Wears identification while on duty.
Attends staff meetings and/or reads all meeting minutes
Reports to work on time and as scheduled, completes work within designated time.
Maintains employee/patient confidentiality.
Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner.
Participates in the department's performance improvement activities
Demonstrates the mission, ethics, and goals of the organization as well as the departmental Scope of Service.
Communication with patients, guests, family, and staff is courteous, respectful, and helpful.
Maintains a clean, safe, and accident-free environment.
