Embark on a rewarding school-based contract opportunity providing transformative speech-language pathology services to elementary-aged students. This full-time role involves supporting two elementary schools, working collaboratively with educational staff and families to foster positive outcomes for students in kindergarten through fifth grade. The position runs from early September 2026 through mid-June 2027 and offers a weekly schedule of 7.5 hours per day, five days a week.
Expect a manageable caseload of 40-50 students, requiring adaptive and creative service provision across two welcoming school environments.
Key
Qualifications:
- Active WA Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license
- Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certificate (WA)
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Minimum of two years of prior experience in school-based settings
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) preferred
- Experience supporting elementary students and managing split locations
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech therapy to elementary students, addressing diverse K-5 needs
- Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize student progress
- Monitor and document student outcomes, adjusting strategies as needed
- Travel between two school locations throughout the week
- Engage in school-based team meetings and support ongoing professional development
