Laboratory - Medical Lab Technician

The Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) performs various technical, clerical, and information systems related procedures within laboratory areas, including Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, and Blood Bank. The MLT is responsible for providing timely and accurate test results to physicians, thereby supporting high-quality patient care.

• Analyze laboratory findings to ensure accuracy and reliability of results.
• Enter data from medical tests and clinical results into computer systems for storage.
• Set up, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Perform laboratory procedures, including the analysis of blood and other biological samples.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain various laboratory equipment used in analysis.
• Establish and monitor quality assurance programs to guarantee accurate laboratory results.
• Collect and analyze samples to detect any abnormalities, assisting in blood-typing and routine blood tests.
• Provide technical information regarding test results to physicians and other stakeholders.

• Washington MA phlebotomy license is required.
• Experience in a laboratory setting with knowledge of laboratory procedures and protocols.
