Health Unit Coordinator - Medical Acute

Description The Unit Secretary functions under the supervision of the Surgical Services Manager. Performs assignments given by the Surgical Services Manager, charge RNs, or Nursing Supervisor. Assists in planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating the activities occurring in the department.
1) Enters physician orders;
2) performs clerical and receptionist duties;
3) answers telephone;
4) runs errands;
5) maintains the physical environment;
6) orders nursing station supplies, particularly all chart forms;
7) assists with special projects and helps design audit tools and statistical studies; and
8) inputs computer data for reports, care management, and other nursing and pharmacy topics. Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
