LOCATION:
Lake Roosevelt Community Health Center-Inchelium, WA
The Medical Records Technician supports Lake Roosevelt Community Health Centers by maintaining accurate, complete, and confidential patient medical records. This position processes, analyzes, and compiles medical documentation; obtains records from inpatient and external healthcare facilities; and ensures information is appropriately incorporated into electronic health records. The Medical Records Technician works closely with medical providers and staff to support accurate documentation and quality patient care.
All employees are expected to demonstrate professionalism, integrity, confidentiality, competency, and a commitment to providing compassionate, respectful, and high-quality service to patients, coworkers, and other customers.
- High School Diploma or GED. Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certification preferred.
- Two (2) years’ experience preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Medical terminology is required for this position.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Strong computer skills and experience with healthcare databases and applications.
- Valid Washington State Driver’s License is required and be insurable.

Pursuant to Tribal Policy, if this position is safety sensitive it is subject to pre-employment drug testing. In addition, this position is subject to reasonable suspicion and post-accident drug testing.
TRIBAL MEMBER AND INDIAN PREFERENCE WILL APPLY; PREFERENCE WILL ALSO BE GIVEN TO HONORABLY DISCHARGED VETERANS WHO ARE MINIMALLY QUALIFIED.
If required of this position, you must possess and maintain a valid Washington State driver’s license and be eligible for the Tribes’ Vehicle Insurance. In addition, this position may be subject to pre-employment background clearances. If applicable, these clearances must be maintained throughout employment.
