SALARY:

$27.85 to $36.90 DOE, Contracted

REPORTS TO:

Superintendent

LOCATION:

Paschal Sherman Indian School, Omak, WA

Basic Functions:

The Resident School-Based Mental Health Professional will be responsible for providing services related to the delivery of mental health care to assigned clients at Paschal Sherman Indian School (PSIS) and will provide consultation, psychoeducation, and support services to school staff to ensure the overall mental health goals of PSIS. Participate on Student Services Team, bridge communication between families, residential and school.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Training:
  • Requires a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling or Social Work from an accredited college or university.
  • Requires applicant to be licensed by the Washington State Department of Health as an Independent Clinical Social Worker without restrictions, or if licensed in a state other than Washington, MUST obtain Washington State Licensure with same guidelines as above within 90-day probationary period.
  • Requires a Valid Washington State Driver's license and to be eligible for the Tribe's vehicle insurance.
  • Requires verification of negative TB test or x-ray with negative results prior to employment.
  • Applicants MUST provide copies of diplomas, transcripts, licensures or registrations that pertain to the position applying for with application and by the closing date.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Requires strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Requires the ability to maintain strict confidentiality standards due to the high amount of records, materials, and communications concerning students, or other areas that may impact the operation of the program.
  • Requires the ability to work flexible hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays as the work dictates.
  • Requires ability to provide direct mental health services to students, predominantly Residential students.
  • Requires the ability to facilitate individual and group therapy as well as crisis interventions to all student body.
  • Requires ability to provide services on-site within the residential and school facilities as well as off-site to include the student's
