We are currently seeking a Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a collaborative hospital-based generalist rehabilitation team in Washington
. This position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population across inpatient hospital services, providing evaluation and treatment for a variety of communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.

Position Overview

As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment services to patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders. You will work closely with physicians, nurses, patients, families, and other rehabilitation professionals to provide individualized, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive speech-language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing evaluations.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
  • Provide treatment for speech, language, articulation, fluency, voice, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
  • Perform bedside swallowing evaluations and participate in instrumental assessments as appropriate.
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, compensatory strategies, and home programs.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in care conferences, discharge planning, quality improvement initiatives, and departmental programs.
  • Maintain compliance with Washington state licensure requirements and professional standards of practice.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current Washington Speech-Language Pathologist License or eligibility for licensure through the Washington State Department of Health.
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
  • Clinical Fellows who meet Washington state provisional licensure requirements are encouraged to apply.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
  • Strong communication, clinical reasoning, and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous hospital or acute care experience preferred but not required.
