Overview

Location

Skamania Lodge is a Pacific Northwest resort on 175 acres featuring tree houses, glamping, golf, ziplining, a spa, and multiple restaurants. It offers over 22,000 sq. ft. of event space for retreats, conferences, and celebrations.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the production of buffets, a la carte, banquets, and special functions.
  • Run or assist in running a hot line or banquet event with attention to detail and timing.
  • Research and develop menus for buffets, a la carte, banquets, and other functions.
  • Assist the Executive Chef in establishing recipes for all cuisine prepared by the culinary staff.
  • Assist leadership with communicating directives, coaching, and training.
  • Coordinate and write prep lists.
  • Inspect the quality of food products used and inform the Executive Chef if quality is not acceptable.
  • Coordinate and supervise the activities of all kitchens with all operating departments to ensure the overall success of the lodge.
  • Review daily agenda sheets and establish specific objectives for culinary staff.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary environment, ensuring compliance with all local and state codes.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of four years of experience as a department chef or in a comparable culinary role.
  • Certificate in Culinary Arts or a related field (preferred).
  • Washington state food handlers’ card (to be obtained within 14 days of hire).
  • SERVSafe Manager Card (optional).
Compensation

$26.00 - $30.00 per hour.
