Housekeeping Assistants play a vital role in upholding the Village’s commitment to hospitality and teamwork. Housekeeping Assistant helps to maintain the welcoming atmosphere of the Village by supporting housekeeping and laundry tasks. This position ensures that all areas are clean, comfortable, and ready for the community, contributing to a warm and inviting environment that reflects the Village’s mission of creating a home away from home for all who visit.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Housekeeping:
  Ensure that program facilities are cleaned
  and maintained, creating a comfortable and welcoming environment for all.
• Laundry:
  Support the cleanliness and comfort of the Village by washing, drying, and
  folding linens, ensuring that fresh and well-prepared linens are always available.
• Maintain Public Spaces:
  Lead the cleaning and upkeep of lounges, the dining hall, and
  common areas, ensuring they remain inviting and conducive to community
  engagement.
• Daily Leadership:
  Run team meetings and oversee housekeeping and laundry
  operations when the Community Services Manager is off.
• Manage Supplies:
  Monitor and restock cleaning and laundry supplies to maintain
  consistent service.
• Collaborate:
  Work closely with the team to ensure smooth daily operations and
  effective teamwork.

Specific knowledge and skills include but are not limited to the following:

• Strength to lift and carry items through the day.
• The ability to spend 6 hours a day working on your feet.
• Attention to detail and excellent hygiene practices.
• The ability to work independently and collaboratively.

• Enthusiasm for and ability to work in a remote wilderness setting.
