Overview
As part of the Base Operations team, the Environmental Services Supervisor leads day-to-day custodial operations across base area facilities, including the plaza, lodges, restrooms, and waste receptacles. Reporting to the Environmental Services Manager and working alongside the Facilities and Assistant Managers, this role directs a team responsible for keeping guest-facing spaces safe, clean, and welcoming. The position exists to translate facility standards into consistent daily execution through scheduling, training, and hands-on leadership, in support of the best guest experience possible.

- Evaluate and recommend improvements to equipment, supplies, and procedures to optimize operational efficiency and service quality.
- Maintain appropriate inventory par levels and organized product storage areas.
- Lead comprehensive EVS operations and light building maintenance across the plaza, lodges, and restrooms.
- Ensure the plaza is guest-ready through sweeping, litter pickup, and clean, properly set furniture and tables.
- Ensure indoor and outdoor waste receptacles are checked, emptied, and properly sorted throughout the day.
- Coordinate end-of-night cleaning of the dining rooms after service, and support trash checks when needed.
- Coordinate EVS support of the Base Operations snow removal team on heavy snow days, and ensure slip and trip hazards on the plaza and walkways are addressed promptly with a shovel or sand. We are one team, working together to create the best guest experience possible.
- Coordinate shift schedules, which may begin in late afternoon and continue until facilities are properly closed and secured.
- Ensure all custodial activities comply with statutory requirements and regulatory guidelines.
- Handle challenging guest situations with composure, professionalism, and hospitality-focused problem resolution.
- Schedule, train, and coach team members to elevate individual and collective performance.
- Work alongside staff, demonstrating best practices and maintaining a visible, supportive presence.
- Support workplace safety initiatives and foster a safety-conscious culture across the team.
- Support other departments when necessary during peak operations and special circumstances.
- Identify opportunities to innovate facility operations and enhance guest satisfaction.
- Respond right away to slip and trip hazards on the plaza and walkways with a shovel or sand, and support the Base Operations snow removal team on heavy snow days. We are one team, working together to create the best guest experience possible.
- Responsibly manage departmental keys and follow building security procedures.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and in accordance with safety protocols.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to lead and coach a team.
- Strong listening and diplomatic problem-solving skills to resolve concerns from guests and team members.
- Ability to manage multiple departmental functions under pressure while meeting deadlines and quality objectives.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in hospitality, facilities management, or environmental services.
Wage and Benefit Info:
The wage range for this positions is: from $26.70 to $28.65/hr
This is a non-benefited role.
All individuals may contribute to the 401(k). An employee must work 1,000 hours in a calendar year to qualify for the discretionary match (there is a 2 year vesting cliff).
All individuals accrue sick time at 1 hour per 40 hours worked to a maximum of 64 hours per year.
