What you should know:
The Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a key role in supporting both talent acquisition and human resources operations for a growing manufacturing organization. This position is responsible for managing the hiring process from sourcing through onboarding, ensuring a positive candidate and employee experience, and supporting a variety of HR functions. The ideal candidate is highly organized, service-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
You'll partner closely with hiring managers, employees, and leadership while helping build efficient processes that support workforce growth and engagement.
- Manage the recruiting process from job posting through accepted offer.
- Post positions, review applications, screen candidates, and coordinate interviews.
- Communicate regularly with candidates and hiring managers throughout the hiring process.
- Prepare offer letters and coordinate pre-employment requirements.
- Maintain applicant tracking records and recruiting metrics.
- Develop relationships with staffing agencies, schools, and community partners.
- Coordinate temporary staffing and employee conversions.
- Support recruiting events and continuous improvement efforts.
- Coordinate new hire paperwork and electronic onboarding.
- Conduct new hire orientation and ensure all required employment documentation is completed.
- Conduct and participate in interviews with hiring managers, evaluating candidates' qualifications, skills, and alignment with the requirements of the position and company culture.
- Coordinate physicals, drug screens, badges, uniforms, and onboarding materials.
- Partner with department leaders to ensure employees are prepared for their first day.
- Follow up with new hires during their introductory period.
- Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS and personnel files.
- Prepare reports, employment verifications, and HR correspondence.
- Assist with benefits administration, leave documentation, workers' compensation administration, and other HR processes.
- Support employee communications, engagement initiatives, and exit interviews.
- Participate in departmental projects and other duties as assigned.
- 2+ years in full-cycle recruitment and HR onboarding experience
- Experience in an HRIS required
- Bilingual in English and Spanish highly desired
- Must be customer-centric, communicative, compassionate, accountable, and eager to learn
