Structured Communication Systems, Inc is seeking a Lead – Technical Project Manager to join our team.
As part of our team, you will be responsible for applying extensive experience and guidance to planning, managing, and implementing multiple complex mid to large-size information technology (IT) projects within an agreed-upon scope. This position serves as the primary point of contact between internal teams and technical aspects and is responsible for ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the desired level of quality for all projects assigned to them.
The Lead Technical Project Manager also directly oversees internal Project Managers (Level I) and Project Coordinators, serving as an escalation point and playing a crucial role in their training and development.
Compensation: $ – $ Annually

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing multiple complex mid to large-size information technology (IT) projects based on business and technical factors.
- Applies extensive experience and judgment to the management of all assigned aspects of projects, developing detailed project plans, scheduling timelines, and budgets within an agreed scope.
- Acts as an escalation point for internal Project Managers (Level I) and Project Coordinators.
- Applies principles and techniques used in budget management to all assigned projects.
- Serves as the primary point of contact and acts as the liaison between internal teams, customers, and the technical aspects of assigned projects.
- Identifies measures or indicators of project performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance, relative to the goals of the project.
- Defines priorities, documents the project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Facilitates the prompt and efficient completion of projects by collaborating with internal engineering teams to identify potential risks, unforeseen delays, and dependencies.
- Develops response plans, adjusts schedules, and realigns project expectations as necessary.
- Actively participates in creating design alternatives that meet the unique requirements of each customer.
- Ensures that projects meet quality standards and complies with the policies and regulations set by the customer.
- Collects, analyzes, and summarizes information and trends to prepare project status reports as needed.
- Works with a diverse group of technical staff with varying degrees of technical ability.
- Assists with contract negotiations with consultants, technical personnel, and vendors for services and products.
- Assesses the project team’s performance, acts as a project expediter, tracks ongoing issues, and communicates vendor response for any escalated issues.
- Presents and/or facilitates project status meetings and communicates project status to key project stakeholders.
- Tracks and reports assigned Project Management and Professional Service hours and project management utilization inside the designated CRM tool.
- Provides input for professional service statements of work (“SOW”) and creates SOWs as directed.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- Promotes and maintains the highest standard of customer service at all times.
- Maintains and continuously develops accurate product and application knowledge.
- Manages multiple mid to large-size complex projects simultaneously and effectively prioritizes tasks.
