Set-Up Technician

Trillium Staffing has immediate openings for Set-Up Technicians on all three shifts in Washington, IL!

Trillium Staffing is hiring Set-Up Technicians. The Set-Up Technician is responsible for performing mold changes, machine setup, material prep, and production support necessary to prepare injection molding equipment for efficient startup and operation.

• Removing and installing injection molds safely and efficiently.
• Operating overhead cranes, hoists, forklifts, and mold handling equipment.
• Connecting water, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical mold connections.
• Installing and preparing auxiliary equipment including dryers, loaders, temperature controllers, granulators, conveyors, and material handling systems.
• Cleaning machine platens, tie bars, nozzles, hoppers, and surrounding work areas.
• Loading approved setup information into molding machines when required.
• Verifying correct resin, colorant, inserts, packaging materials, and supporting documentation are available for production.
• Purging molding machines according to approved procedures.
• Retrieving molds, fixtures, and support equipment required for upcoming production runs; returning molds and support equipment to proper storage locations following production.
• Assisting production operators as needed during startup activities.
• Completing documentation and required computer transactions accurately.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Set-Up Technician positions are available on all three shifts. Shifts are 8 hours, Monday - Friday. Overtime may be required on weekends. Pay will range from $18 - $25/hour based on experience. 2nd and 3rd shift positions offer $1 - $2/hour shift differentials. Positions are full-time and can be temp-to-hire or direct hire based on experience. Direct hire positions offer a competitive benefits package.

• HSD or GED
• Injection molding experience preferred
• Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Basic computer literacy and math skills
