  • Work with the Superintendent and Board of Education to develop, evaluate, review and maintain a comprehensive communication strategy for District 308.
  • Collaborate with the Superintendent to coordinate and oversee all aspects of the district communication strategy to ensure timely and meaningful communication to all stakeholders associated with District 308.
  • Assist the superintendent through research and development of communications which include graphics, streaming video, written information, electronic information, etc.
  • Assist in the branding development for the district and work with the superintendent to promote, oversee, and implement its use in all communications.
  • Work with the superintendent to develop an internal and external communications designed to promote District 308 and inform internal and external stakeholders regarding events and initiatives.
  • Attend Board meetings and prepare such reports as requested by the Superintendent.
  • Carry out all other duties as assigned.

Job Goal: The District Communications Consultant will help to develop and implement a district-wide communication plan which will address both internal and external communications. The Consultant will work directly with the superintendent to oversee all forms of communication including: electronic media, print media, social media, web page and/or any other communication outlet contained within the communication plan.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Skills necessary to communicate effectively with students, staff, Board of Education, administration, parents and community members utilizing multiple forms of media (i.e. print, recorded, digital, social media, etc.).
  • The ability to help develop and manage a communication strategy that will provide timely and meaningful information regarding all aspects of the education process both internally and externally.
  • Responsible for deliverables that include, but are not limited to, speeches, video scripts, print, streaming media, presentations, newsletters, articles and website as requested by the superintendent.
  • Such alternatives as the Board may find appropriate
Salary/Benefits

Hourly rate: $25.00 - $30.00
