Responsible for education services within our Child Services Section. Incumbent assists teachers with daily classroom operations.

Salary$15.66 - $17.95 per hour
Qualifications- Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, or actively pursuing a degree (minimum one class per year).
- CDA certification or enrollment in a CDA program to be completed within two years of hire.
- Ability to satisfactorily perform duties, including:
- Effectively communicate orally and in writing.
- Write reports and business correspondence; present information effectively.
- Cooperate successfully as a member of a team.
- Maintain good organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient with computer operations, preferably with MS Office.
Job Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle with required liability insurance for business travel.
- Ability to work at various sites under different supervisors.
- Maintain efficient operations and present a professional image in conduct, attitude, and attire.
- Philosophical alignment with the mission of PACE and familiarity with the agency’s strategic plan goals.
- Free from Child Abuse and Neglect.
- Annual TB test.
- National fingerprint check every three years.
- State criminal history and sex offender check every five years.
- Pre‑employment drug test and physical examination certification.
- Physical examination recertification every four years.
- Support planning activities that integrate service areas into the educational process.
- Assist in implementing individualized instruction.
- Encourage children to explore, experiment, question, observe, and play.
- Utilize, monitor, and maintain program databases to track child and family information.
- Conduct screening and ongoing assessment of young children’s development.
- Maintain staff and family confidentiality.
- Ensure sufficient and proper supervision of all children at the site at all times.
- Encourage parent and community volunteerism and participate in activities to generate in‑kind support.
- Respond competently to diverse cultures, traditions, lifestyles, languages, and values of each family.
- Attend all assigned training, meetings, and travel to other sites within the service area.
- Submit timely, accurate, and complete reports.
- Comply with company, state, and federal mandates.
- Provide ongoing communication and information sharing with staff, parents, and community members.
Requires sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and reaching with manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines. May require moving or lifting up to 50 pounds. Must physically intervene in emergencies. Requires normal hearing and vision. Must handle diverse work problems, set priorities, and adjust to last‑minute assignments and deadline requests. A consistent pleasant attitude and personal maturity are essential for interaction within a culturally diverse environment.
