E&M Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking a Network Architect/Engineer to join our team in Joint Base Lewis McChord, WA in support of the United States Army Pacific Command (USARPAC) Theater Army Campaign Support (TACS). TACS is responsible for the integration, automation, and interoperability of intelligence and MDO across the USARPAC AOR. USARPAC and its operational partners require professional services in support of various intelligence, operations, planning, data, training, and logistics solutions on an enterprise scale.
This effort provides subject matter expertise to contribute to organizational agility in a collaborative national security environment.
- Use experience in high-level design, integration, analysis, and strategic management of full spectrum Intelligence Enterprise networks.
- Ensure the architecture is robust, secure, and capable of supporting current and future mission requirements. This involves planning the layout of network components, evaluating new technologies, and creating blueprints for network expansion or upgrades.
- Closely cooperate with a Network Enterprise Center (NEC), the United States Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) Ground Intelligence Support Activity (GISA), and other relevant engineering bodies to ensure seamless integration and compliance with broader Department of Defense (DoD) and Army network standards.
- Use knowledge of intelligence network topologies, network protocols, equipment, emerging technology, and configurations to optimize client operations and modernization.
- Develop technical solutions and evaluate alternatives for satisfying identified requirements, focusing on reducing costs, enhancing capabilities, and maintaining technological relevance.
- 10+ years of experience in network architecture and network engineering
- HS diploma or GED and 22+ years of experience in a professional work environment, Bachelor's degree and 18+ years of experience in a professional work environment, or Master’s Degree and 10+ years of experience in a professional work environment
- Experience designing, planning, and overseeing the integration of network topologies, including LAN/WAN, on NIPRNET, SIPRNET, JWICS, CENTRIXS, and dedicated exercise networks
- Experience managing routers, switches, firewalls, gateways, and cross-domain solutions
- Experience with fiber optic and twisted-pair cabling standards and implementation
- Expert knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP), VLANs, tunneling, and network security principles
- Strong working knowledge of virtualization (VMWare), Windows Server environments, cross-domain technologies, and data communications systems
- In-depth understanding of DoD/Army network and information assurance policies and regulations
- Ability to analyze functional requirements to devise, recommend, and implement product and system integrations
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must have and be capable of maintaining a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance at the required level.
- Experience leading the integration of Army, Joint, and Combined C4I systems (e.g., GCCS, DCGS-A) and tactical intelligence feeds (e.g., Global Hawk, Gray Eagle) into enterprise architecture
- Experience serving as a technical liaison for network architecture matters, working in direct cooperation with NEC and the INSCOM GISA to de-conflict, integrate, and troubleshoot enterprise-level services and connections
- Ability to develop and maintain network documentation, including architecture diagrams, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and disaster recovery plans
- Ability to provide expert technical consultation to government leadership on emerging technologies, infrastructure requirements, and strategic IT planning, including contributions to the Annual Army Data Plan (ADP) Program Plan
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex network issues (Tier 3 support), performing root cause analysis and coordinating with vendors and external agencies for resolution
- Network+, Security+, CISSP, CCNA, or CCNP Certification
