Business Intelligence Engineer, FIO Analytics

The FBA organization is looking for a customer‑focused, analytically and technically skilled business intelligence engineer to support the Inventory Optimization organization's analytic needs. This role will be part of the business analytics team responsible for building out analysis, visualization tools and processes for the FBA FIO businesses. The successful candidate will retrieve, integrate, visualize and present critical data in an immediately useful format to improve the business decision process.

The role requires excellent analytical abilities, deep business acumen, and comfort with technical teams and systems. The candidate should be a self‑starter comfortable with ambiguity, detail‑oriented, and enjoy working with large scale data.

Key job responsibilities
  • Collaborate with research sciences, product and technology teams in driving step‑function changes toward influencing seller experience improvements.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to implement advanced analytics algorithms and model evaluation framework across Capacity and Inventory Management domains.
  • Own analytics for key domains across inventory optimization services and deliver self‑service analytics at scale.
  • Own data governance and stewardship for business‑critical metrics that influence technology investment decisions.
  • Analyze and visualize transaction data to determine seller behaviors, and output solid analysis with recommendations.
  • Create scalable, efficient, automated processes for large‑scale data analyses, model development, validation, and implementation.
  • Lead projects from start to finish including project management, data gathering and manipulation, synthesis and modeling, problem solving, and communication of insights and recommendations.
  • Develop queries, statistical analysis, and visualizations for ad‑hoc requests and projects, as well as ongoing reporting.
  • Partner with product and engineering teams to develop and evaluate Generative AI solutions that enhance analytics capabilities and automate insights generation.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Intelligence, Finance, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent quantitative field.
  • 3+ years analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, No

    SQL, etc.
  • 1+ years SQL, ETL, or Oracle experience.
  • 1+ years processing large, multi‑dimensional datasets from multiple sources.
  • 1+ years performing statistical analysis.
  • 1+ years developing automated reporting.
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quick Sight, or similar tools.
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines.
  • Experience in statistical analysis packages such as R, SAS, and Matlab.
  • Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, Dynamo

    DB, S3, and Redshift.
  • Experience in data mining, ETL, and using databases in a business environment with large‑scale, complex datasets.

Base salary:
99,500.00 –  USD annually
. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
