Apprentice IT Systems Electronics Technician
Our team is expanding, and we want to hire the most talented people we can. Continued success depends on it! We are currently looking for a highly motivated apprentice IT Systems Electronics Technician to join our Vocational Training team.
These days, nothing works without IT specialists. For us, IT is far more than operating systems, server administration or repairing a computer.
During the practical training at Adtran in Meiningen as well as during the theoretical training in Erfurt you will gain extensive knowledge and skills in the field of planning, installation and configuration of IT systems and IT devices.
The three-year training course will be completed with an examination at the Chamber.
The main focus of the apprenticeship includes:
- Electrical installation and assembly techniques
- Getting to know, configuration and usage of various system technologies (WDM, Ethernet, IP switching & routing, server-client applications, operating systems, user software)
- Planning & production of, as well as modifications to IT equipment, IT systems and IT infrastructures
- Service and repair measures
- Execution of error analyses for hardware and software
- Troubleshooting and maintenance work on a variety of IT devices and systems
- Programming and scripting languages
- Project management under technical and commercial aspects
Knowledge, skills and experience required:
- Good secondary school certificate or A level
- Good grades in Mathematics, Physics and English
- Good technical skills
- Enjoy working in a team as well as solving problems independently
- Willingness to travel
