Agile Business Concepts is seeking a highly technical, hands-on Data Engineer / Systems Architect to serve as Key Personnel supporting a Federal/DoD data integration environment. The successful candidate will lead the architecture, development, integration, and delivery of secure enterprise data solutions across Army Vantage/Palantir Foundry, Advana, Databricks, SQL, and Microsoft A365 Dataverse environments.
This position requires an engineer who can both design the technical architecture and perform hands-on implementation
, including building ETL/ELT pipelines, developing data transformations, integrating APIs, designing relational and Dataverse data models, and ensuring data quality, security, lineage, reconciliation, and reliable delivery to downstream applications.
- Lead enterprise data discovery, architecture, engineering, integration, and data modeling activities.
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and automated data workflows.
- Perform data transformation, cleansing, normalization, mapping, validation, and reconciliation.
- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, relational data models, schemas, and database structures
. - Integrate data through REST APIs, services, connectors, and other enterprise integration methods
. - Support data integration across Army Vantage/Palantir Foundry, Advana, Databricks/SQL, and Microsoft A365 Dataverse
. - Design and implement Microsoft Dataverse data models and integrations supporting downstream applications.
- Establish data-quality controls, lineage, monitoring, exception handling, reconciliation, and automated validation.
- Implement secure data-access and egress processes utilizing RBAC, service identities, least-privilege principles, and appropriate PII/PHI protections
. - Troubleshoot complex data pipeline, integration, performance, and data-quality issues.
- Produce technical architecture, data-flow, interface, mapping, and system documentation.
- Collaborate with application developers, cloud engineers, cybersecurity teams, architects, and Government stakeholders.
- 3+ years of enterprise data engineering experience; 5+ years strongly preferred.
- Strong hands-on expertise with SQL, Databricks, ETL/ELT, APIs, relational databases, and data modeling
. - Demonstrated experience designing and implementing automated enterprise data pipelines.
- Experience with data transformation, cleansing, reconciliation, lineage, monitoring, and data-quality validation
. - Knowledge of secure data integration, including RBAC, service identities, PII/PHI protection, and controlled data egress
. - Experience operating within secure Federal or DoD environments
. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Tier 1/NACI or equivalent Federal suitability determination
. - Ability to support approximately 25% onsite work at Camp Murray, Washington
.
Preferred Qualifications
Direct hands-on experience with Army Vantage/Palantir Foundry and Advana is strongly preferred.
Experience with
Microsoft Azure, A365/Microsoft Dataverse, Databricks, DoD IL5 environments
, and applicable cloud/data certifications will be highly valued.
The ideal candidate is not solely an architect or advisor. We are seeking a hands-on technical leader who can architect, build, integrate, troubleshoot, and validate the solution
. The individual should be comfortable working directly with data, SQL, pipelines, APIs, Dataverse, security controls, and enterprise integrations while providing technical leadership to the broader project team.
