Location: Pacific Beach
- Assist the Pacific Beach Network Administrator with maintenance on ancillary network communication systems
- Operate, maintain, and install telecommunication and related communications systems supporting range operations
- Accomplish assigned tasks independently in accordance with project objectives and requirements
- Perform daily testing and operation of communications equipment, including DRMS, UHF/VHF air-to-ground radios, SKL, MIDS, and JTRS
- Troubleshoot and repair network-based and RF communications systems
- Inspect connections, fittings, and installed wire and cable sections for conformance to specifications
- Install and maintain Ethernet, fiber, and other data transmission lines
- Assist in troubleshooting LAN/WAN equipment such as routers, hubs, and switches
- 3 years relevant experience with Bachelor's in related field; 1 year relevant experience with Master's in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 7 years relevant experience
- Currently possess and be able to maintain an active Secret Clearance
- Security+ certification
- Experience with voice and data communications systems
- Administration and configuration of communication network systems
- Knowledge of digital communications networks, multiplexer equipment, VHF/UHF tactical radios, data links, fiber-optic equipment, networking, routers, switches, and telephone/network switches
- Knowledge of power systems, including UPS equipment, DC power supplies, low-voltage AC equipment, and primary and secondary power equipment
- Preferred: five years' experience in telecommunications, operations, and maintenance
- Flexibility to work non-standard work hours and work weeks of more than 40 hours
- Minor lifting and carrying of boxes of records or equipment may be required
Demonstrates expertise in operating, maintaining, and installing telecommunication systems, with a strong focus on troubleshooting network-based and RF communications systems. Holds relevant certifications and possesses the ability to work independently while adhering to project objectives.
