The Washington Community School District is looking for a Strategist II LD/BD teacher for the 2026‑2027 school year.
Qualifications- Valid Iowa Teaching Certificate or ability to attain a certificate with an Instructional Strategist II.
- Strong working knowledge of Functional Behavior Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans.
Special Education Director and Building Principal
Job GoalsTo provide individualized programming/instruction for students with various disabilities and behaviors. Provide students with learning opportunities that develop positive attitudes toward self, individuals, and groups of all ages. To teach/work collaboratively with general education instructors to instruct students in learning strategies and to assist students in becoming more independent learners, enhancing student learning, promoting overall efficiency of the school system, and maximizing the educational opportunities available to each child.
