Job Title: Substitute Teacher.
Position Type: Part-Time.
Schedule: Varied days and hours per week based on staffing needs. Substitute Teachers do not have a regular set schedule or guaranteed hours. Employees are contacted to work on an as-needed basis to provide classroom coverage when regular staff are absent and to maintain required staff‑to‑child ratios.
Pay Range: $18.79 hourly.
Position GoalThe Substitute Teacher supports the classroom in the absence of assigned staff in maintaining a nurturing and supportive education program for participating children.

Education and/or Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Three (3) months of experience working in a licensed early childhood or school-based pre‑school setting
- Valid reliable transportation for use on the job.
- Must receive clearance by the Iowa Department of Human Services on child abuse and criminal background checks prior to hire and every two (2) years after.
- Must pass a pre‑employment health examination and subsequent health examinations every three (3) years thereafter.
