The State of Iowa, Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship, is seeking a full-time Meat Inspector for the Washington County region in southeast Iowa. You will inspect locker plants and meat facilities for safety, hygiene, and labeling compliance, traveling statewide as needed.
You will complete required USDA courses within six months, possess a valid driver's license, and communicate findings to facilities. State benefits include IPERS retirement and comprehensive health insurance.
