Salary Range: $23.00 - $28.00 hourly.

Coordinates the procurement and distribution of materials, parts, equipment, and supplies for the organization by performing the following duties.
Essential Functions- Assist a commodity buyer with procurement of a commodity.
- Follow up with suppliers to confirm on-time delivery, negotiated price, and quality standards.
- Assist a commodity buyer with commodity requirements, including preliminary specifications, preferred supplier, and delivery date.
- Assist in negotiating lowest possible cost, balanced against optimal quality and schedule needs.
- Maintain timely control of orders, amendments, shipping notices, and other documents to ensure accurate records.
- Review reports such as Late-to-Required, Exceptions, and Shortage Report and update PO’s accordingly.
- Enter PO’s into the ERP system.
- Submit RFQ’s to suppliers.
- Assist in analyzing RFQ’s to determine appropriate vendors.
- Assist AP with invoice issues.
- Assist in following up Supplier Deviation Requests and Tech Helps submitted by suppliers.
- Assist in notifying suppliers of nonconformance parts and securing lead time for reworked or replacement parts.
- Conduct special projects as needed.
- Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and multitask.
- Excellent organization skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills and a high degree of initiative.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Works independently and is self-motivated.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Knowledge of ERP systems preferred.
High School Diploma or GED (AA/AS degree preferred). 0–2+ years experience in a purchasing or administrative role.
Physical Demands and Work EnvironmentNormal manufacturing/machine shop/office environment. Employees are required to adhere to safety policies and wear personal protective equipment when exposed to work areas or tasks requiring it.
Export CompliancePosition requires Export Control compliance; a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15/§ 120.14 is required.
