Key Responsibilities
  • Lead quality assurance, risk management, and patient safety programs across inpatient, ambulatory, and emergency care.
  • Oversee accreditation and regulatory readiness, infection prevention, patient safety, performance improvement, peer review, risk mitigation, and policy and standards alignment.
  • Lead root cause analyses (RCAs), failure mode and effects analyses (FMEAs), high reliability organization (HRO) initiatives, sepsis and rapid response optimization, throughput improvements, antimicrobial stewardship, and evidence‑based pathways.
  • Collaborate with nurses, physicians, advanced practice providers, pharmacy, PT/OT, case management, social work, and care management teams.
  • Use dashboards, outcomes tracking, and benchmarking to accelerate improvement and hardwire sustainable gains.
  • Cultivate a just culture and elevate patient advocacy and safety.
  • Drive measurable, organization‑wide results with enterprise‑grade data analytics.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience leading quality, risk, or patient safety initiatives in a hospital setting, preferably a not‑for‑profit, 140‑bed community hospital.
  • Strong knowledge of accreditation standards, federal and state regulations, and quality improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience with performance improvement projects, root cause analysis, HRO, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems (e.g., MEDITECH Expanse) and data analytics tools.
