Responsibilities
- Production Scheduling: Create and manage detailed production schedules for manufacturing sites, ensuring alignment with demand forecasts and inventory targets.
- Capacity Planning: Analyze production capacity and constraints; recommend adjustments to optimize throughput and minimize bottlenecks.
- Material Coordination: Collaborate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure material availability for scheduled production.
- Demand Alignment: Translate demand plans into executable manufacturing schedules, considering lead times, frozen periods, and resource availability.
- Master Data Management: Maintain and update planning‑related master data (e.g., item attributes, lead times, BOMs, routings) in Oracle to ensure accurate and efficient system performance.
- Planning Parameter Optimization: Review and apply recommended planning parameters in Oracle (e.g., safety stock, min/max levels, lot sizes) to improve schedule accuracy and reduce exceptions.
- Performance Monitoring: Track adherence to production plans, identify variances, and implement corrective actions.
- Cross‑Functional
Collaboration:
Work closely with supply chain, quality, and operations teams to resolve scheduling conflicts and improve efficiency. - Continuous Improvement: Drive process improvements in planning accuracy, cycle time reduction, and resource utilization.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field; 3+ years of experience in production planning or manufacturing scheduling.
- Technical
Skills:
Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems (Oracle preferred) and planning tools; experience in regulated manufacturing environments preferred; APICS certification a plus. - Communication: Strong oral, written, and electronic communication skills; ability to work cross‑functionally in fast‑paced environments.
- Analytical & Problem‑Solving: Proficient in data analysis, especially Excel; must demonstrate proactive problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Organizational: Highly organized, able to multi‑task, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple priorities.
- Quality Knowledge: Working knowledge of QSR and GMP requirements.
- System Proficiency: Experience with MRO/ERP systems, Oracle R12 a plus; proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Computer, telephone, fax, copy machine, and general office equipment.
- Must sit, listen, speak, and write/type for most of the workday.
- Must travel domestically and internationally by car or airplane as needed.
- Must occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.
- Must be able to use a computer (keyboard, mouse, monitor).
Less than 5% travel required.
Salary and BenefitsSalary range: $62,000.00 - $85,000.00 USD. Total compensation may include base pay, bonus, commission, equity, or other variable compensation. Eligible for company‑sponsored benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term and long‑term disability, business accident insurance, group legal insurance, and 401(k) savings plan.
