Boise Cascade has been in the business of manufacturing wood products and distributing building materials for over half a century. Today we're one of the largest manufacturers of plywood and engineered wood products in North America - and the only wholesale stocking distributor for building products that can service the entire United States. This is a seasonal/temporary position to provide vacation relief. Seasonal hires will work full time May 1st - September 30th (students will work as many weeks between these dates as their school schedule will allow.)

Job Description:

• Keeping the mill clean and safe by sweeping and shoveling
• Pulling strips of veneer off moving chain and stacking in cart (very physical and repetitive)
• Feeding strips of veneer into dryer (very repetitive)
• Performing the duties of various workstations to allow other employees to receive breaks throughout their shift
• Various duties to assist in the continuous operation of the mill

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be available to work any shift:
  Days, Swing, Graveyard, Relief
• Must be able to continuously stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, crawl, kneel, climb, and reach above shoulders safely
• Occasionally lift over 50 pounds at a time
• Must be able to successfully pass drug test, pre-employment physical, and criminal background check

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in production environment
• Consistent work history
