OVERVIEW OF POSITION:

We are seeking a reliable and detail‑oriented Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The Machine Operator will be responsible for operating a variety of manual and CNC machining equipment, producing quality parts according to specifications, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing operations, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to accurately read technical drawings and inspect finished components.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Operate manual lathes, manual grinders, and CNC milling machines to manufacture parts according to specifications.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
  • Set up and operate machining equipment while maintaining required quality standards.
  • Inspect and measure finished parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
  • Monitor machine performance and identify issues that may affect product quality or production efficiency.
  • Record and maintain accurate production data, including machine run times, material usage, scrap quantities, and downtime reasons.
  • Perform routine machine cleaning and preventive maintenance activities.
  • Make minor mechanical adjustments and troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
  • Assist senior technicians and maintenance personnel with more complex machine repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with housekeeping standards.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and safety.
SKILLS

EDUCATION:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1–2 years of previous manufacturing, machining, or machine operation experience preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills with the ability to perform routine machine maintenance and minor mechanical adjustments.
  • Experience operating manual lathes, grinders, and/or CNC milling machines.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
