Welder

Dogwood Industries is seeking a skilled Welder to support fabrication of modular industrial and defense facilities. You'll weld structural steel components, frames, and assemblies to precise specifications, using MIG/flux-core processes in a fast-paced shop environment. Responsibilities include interpreting blueprints, fitting and tacking assemblies, performing quality checks, and maintaining a safe, organized work area. You'll collaborate with engineering and production teams to meet tight deadlines, support continuous improvement, and help deliver rugged, high-quality buildings for critical infrastructure projects nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and flux-core welding on structural steel and modular building components
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols to build assemblies to spec
• Fit, tack, and weld frames and assemblies, ensuring dimensional accuracy and alignment
• Inspect welds for quality, defects, and conformance to company and code standards
• Operate grinders, cutting tools, and material handling equipment safely
• Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and housekeeping standards
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to meet schedule and quality goals
• Document work as required and support continuous improvement initiatives
