Grain Refining / Laboratory Technician
Express Employment Professionals of Wenatchee is partnering with a local employer to recruit a Grain Refining / Laboratory Technician to join our client's Lab/Quality team. This is currently a temporary position of indeterminate length, with the potential to become a permanent opportunity based on business needs, performance, and internal approval.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys detailed, hands-on laboratory work and would like the opportunity to develop additional skills in a quality-focused manufacturing environment.
Pay & SchedulePay: Starting around $19-$20.00/hour
Schedule: The Grain Refining schedule is strict and requires reliable attendance and punctuality, as other laboratory and quality processes depend on the completion of this work.
Specific schedule details will be provided during the hiring process.
Anticipated Start Date: Monday, August 31, 2026
What You'll DoAs a Grain Refining / Laboratory Technician, you will perform critical laboratory and refining processes while maintaining accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail.
Responsibilities may include:
- Perform grain refining processes according to established procedures and specifications
- Accurately follow written instructions, procedures, and quality standards
- Complete laboratory tasks in a timely and consistent manner
- Monitor and document results and production information
- Maintain accurate records and communicate important information to the Quality team
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory work area
- Work closely with Quality and Lab personnel to ensure processes are completed correctly
- Follow all company safety, quality, and laboratory procedures
- Perform other related duties as assigned
The ideal candidate will not only be successful in Grain Refining but will also have the flexibility and interest to learn additional laboratory functions over time.
Potential cross-training opportunities may include:
- Wet Lab: Additional laboratory testing and processes
- Metallography: Laboratory work involving microscopes and related tasks
- Other quality and laboratory functions as business needs allow
These additional responsibilities may involve different day-shift schedules, so schedule flexibility may provide opportunities for additional training and responsibilities in the future.
